February 2008
Dear Club Member,
Focus on Fitness would like to share the love this month and wish everyone Happy Valentine’s Day. Give somebody you love the gift of health and well being this Valentine’s Day; indulge them with massage, one-to-one personal training, nutritional advice and much much more, just ask a member of staff for details. This year we have so much to look forward to. Focus on Fitness will be holding social events throughout the year so keep your eyes peeled for more details on the notice boards. Also a big well done to the Super Session group, everyone worked really hard and kept positive throughout the session. There will be more Super Sessions this year, if you couldn’t manage to make it this time.
Dear all,
As you know I have just completed my first month as a director of Focus on Fitness. I thank you all for the support you have shown me during this time and it has helped me rapidly develop my skills in an altogether alien role. One of many realisations I have learned is that in order to develop my skills, my team’s skills and the club’s profile I am going to need more help. You will probably agree that Ric is a tough act to follow so if you have any feedback , management knowledge or general visions on how you would like your club to develop please do not hesitate to contact me. I am eager to listen and learn.
Kind Regards
Andy
You may have seen posters around the gym and studio recently advertising our brand new ‘1-2-1 Box Fit sessions’. You may have heard in the media that different types of boxing training are becoming increasingly popular and may even be introduced into schools, mainly due to the fantastic benefits. Box-Fit is a challenging and exciting way to push your body a little harder. Please approach any of the team for more details of this worthwhile session.
We now have four gym circuits up and running and they are proving very popular. Just to let you know the weekend circuits will start at 9.30am till 10.30am, it is advisable to book a place. Also if you have any friends or family who wish to have a go non-members are welcome, priced at £5.50 per session. Go on, join the fun!!!!!!!
We have sourced www.physiosupplies.com as reputable suppliers of all types of physio supplies. If you’re in need of support bandages, neck pillows etc please take a look at their website.
Well done to all of the members of the month. As a team we have all recognised your achievements this month; please see a member of the team to receive your certificate,
- Jessica Puddy- training really hard towards reaching her goal of 5000m on the rowing machine in under 25mins. We’re really impressed, keep up the hard work.
- Marie Coupland- well done for participation in everything that goes on here at Focus on Fitness, plus knocking minutes off your personal best at running.
- Kate Makinson- for fantastic results in her reassessment, all the hard work pays off.
- Sophie Richardson - getting back into the swing of things with big goals, and sticking to her programme
- Steve Makinson – great participation in classes and lots of determination.
- Rosalyn Slater – the gym circuits wouldn’t be the same with out her, she bring a big smile with her every time, and can’t help but have a good dance to the music.
Skipping - Using a skipping rope is a great cardiovascular exercise. It's one of the foundations of a boxer's conditioning programme, and you've got to be in shape to box. The tennis champ Jimmy Connors even used to skip a rope as part of his conditioning routine. We want you incorporate skipping into your exercise routine for one month and if you do not know how to skip currently we can show you how, the studio will be available for you to practise, if there isn’t a class taking place of course.
Tilly has been with us since August last year, she has decided to move to pastures new in her career, and we wish her all the best. We will be having a farewell leaving drinks night on Monday 3rd March 6:30pm – 8pm for Tilly to say thank you for all her help.
Dear Focus on Fitness club member,
I am a qualified nurse who lives locally and would like to give an informative 20 minutes talk on the advantages of using our products that are all made with organically grown aloe vera and bee pollen.
The products are especially helpful for those people who might suffer from the following ailments: bowel or digestive problems such as IBS; skin disorders, such as eczema or psoriasis; osteo-arthritis; or weight management!!
The products also work effectively as an immune booster and tonic and contain many vital nutrients. I will be hosting a presentation on Monday 25th February from 6.30pm and will be here until 8:30pm to answer any questions and talk further on how Forever Living Products can help you.
Many thanks
Regards
